Planning for Your Mental Health Postpartum with Kayce Hodos

May is Maternal Mental Health Awareness month and this week we are discussing planning for your mental health postpartum. Regular listeners know how much importance I place on maternal wellness. Today, we are looking at maternal wellness from yet another angle.

For this episode, I am joined by Kayce Hodos, a maternal mental health therapist and coach. Kayce and I are discussing proactive steps you can take to support a new mom’s mental health during her pregnancy and after the baby is born.

We discuss why a new mom’s mental health is just as important as her physical health, what can be done during pregnancy to prepare for a mentally healthy postpartum, the many ways new parents can find support, the role a partner can play, how to enlist friends and family to help in ways that suit the new mom the best, and much more.
